Organicles started with a blood sugar reading at my own dinner table

My father has lived with diabetes for 30 years. I was pre-diabetic. We fixed how we ate, people asked how, and a food company came out of it.

Monthly revenue
Rs 2M → Rs 12–15M
Repeat customers
40%

My father has been diabetic for more than three decades. Then my own numbers came back: pre-diabetic. That’s a very specific kind of family resemblance.

We started with ourselves

We read everything about how food moves blood sugar and changed what we ate. My father started teaching what we learned, and people kept asking the same question afterwards: where do I actually buy food like this?

There was no good answer. So we made one.

Nashta

Nashta is Urdu for breakfast, and it’s the meal most likely to wreck your sugar for the day. Ours is a meal replacement built on slow-absorbing carbs, so it fuels you without the spike. We developed it with Guru Zahid Irfan and The Diabetes Center. I also host a podcast with Guru Zahid on managing and reversing diabetes through food: watch part 1.

What happened

Organicles grew from about Rs 2M to Rs 12–15M a month. 40% of customers come back, which for food tells you more than any ad dashboard does. It won at the Pakistan Entrepreneur Awards 2025.

It hasn’t been a straight line. Ad platforms change their rules, creative wears out, and every month teaches you something new about why people reorder. Organicles now has its own team and is expanding into more health nutrition and new markets.
