Eras

  1. 1993–2012

    The Pentium 2 years

Born in Lahore, raised in Islamabad, first in a small rented house. My father was a struggling journalist and the first person in his family to go to school. We didn't have much, and he still put me in the best school in the city. Then a Pentium 2 arrived at home, dial-up followed, and I disappeared into the internet. I taught myself design, video editing, camera work and scripting before anyone told me those were careers. I started working as a teenager at my father's PR and events company.

  2. 2013 onward

    The news years

I put my father's columns online with a WordPress site I built myself. For two months, nobody came. Then we posted where people already were, on Facebook, and the traffic arrived like a flood. I got invited to Facebook's developer conference three times and tested Instant Articles before most publishers had heard of them. Javedch.com grew into a network (Baat TV, Icons, Politix, NewsToday), a 30-person team, and a top 5 Alexa rank in Pakistan. Then Facebook changed its algorithm and took most of that traffic back overnight. The site survived, and it still publishes every day.

  3. 2010s onward

    The agency years

Everything the news network taught me about attention became Publicize. Digital PR for Zong and Bahria Town. A YouTube mini-series for The Asia Foundation. Campaigns for NGOs, private brands, and the Punjab and Federal governments. Most of it was social media, influencers and a lot of late-night crisis calls.

  4. 2023–2024

    The Manchester detour

An MSc in Management with Digital Marketing at BPP University, a marketing job at AppLocum, and my first proper winter. I came home in 2024 with a degree, a coat, and a long list of things to build.

  5. 2023 onward

    The food years

My father has lived with diabetes for more than 30 years, and I was pre-diabetic myself. We started learning how food moves blood sugar, first for us, then for the people who kept asking how. That became Organicles, and Nashta: a breakfast built on slow carbs that doesn't spike you. It grew from about Rs 2M to Rs 12–15M a month, and 40% of customers come back.

  6. Ongoing

    The teaching years

At Mind Changer, my father teaches money, health and parenting. I teach marketing, digital skills and AI. More than 6,000 students have come through. My AI courses are for people aged 20 to 60 who are sure they're not technical, and they leave with a website, a store or an automation that actually works.

  7. 2026 onward

    The agent years

A founder found me on Upwork. Three weeks later I was COO of an AI-native e-commerce studio, running operations with agents that check stores, write content and wait for my approval. I joined my father's show as co-host, underprepared, so I built myself a newsroom. And I built the system that updates this website every Sunday, because I know myself: I think out loud, then forget to do the thing.
